Eternal Chaos: Dark god of the eternal
12/09/11 || cadenz
When Satan takes a dump, he unleashes a massive clusterfuck of black metal bands upon the world. Unfortunately, finding a lump of gold in a mile-wide turd is not the easiest thing. Right now we’re surveying a Colombian outfit called Eternal Chaos sticking their head up out the manure. Do they have the force to drag themselves free of the heap? Yes, barely. But they need to wash their puny minds in the fires of Beelze Bob (the Builder) to get rid of the smell.
“Dark God of the Eternal” features nasty and savage riffery, aggressive drumming, a messy production (with an impressively annoying snare sound), a relentless atmosphere and some great shrieks for vocals. What’s missing is some truly stunning riffs and arrangements. The pure chaos that is the sound picture doesn’t give much help in highlighting any parts of the songs.
6/10: As an adrenaline outburst this isn’t half bad, but I don’t see myself coming back to this too often. Better production and snappier song-writing next time, please.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
